FEBRUARY 2020: Exercising with Frankie
FUN AT OUR NEW FACILITY
January 2020 found the Lunch Bunch program starting the new year off in our new location. While we loved being at the church house and the hospitality there was fantastic, our ever increasing numbers showed the need for more room!!! So we moved to the newly renovated Firefighters Association Hall (previously known at the "old schoolhouse". Our first luncheon was a hit and everyone seemed to enjoy it very much. Ed Hunter who was a teacher at the schoolhouse in the 1960s is a member of our lunch bunch and we are happy to have him and his stories of the school. If you are planning to come out and join us and see the facility please contact Sue Duncan at 250-539-3640 and she can order your lunch and show you around.

DECEMBER 2019: Upcoming for December and in keeping with the Christmas season, the children of Mayne Island School will be joining us to celebrate the season, fun and special guests will certainly make the holidays come alive at the church house. Please come out and join Sue and the gang in welcoming these amazing little people and see the joy in everyone's eyes alike.
NOVEMBER 2019: The Christmas season got underway with Sue and clients baking Christmas cakes!! Sue is renowned for making her mother's Christmas cake recipe and everyone from last year were happy she was repeating in again! Perhaps if you give Sue one of her huge hugs you might get at least a slice. It is nothing like the Christmas cake that goes round the world every year (ha ha, wink, wink).
And in keeping with the cold, the second Thursday in November was a delight as Dave and Rena Chase gave a most interesting and informative presentation on their trip to Iceland. A great group was in attendance and I am sure many who watched and learned are thinking of a trip to Iceland in their future.

OCTOBER 2019: A huge thank you to Allen Slade for his wonderful presentation on his motorcycle trip to Africa with his friends. It was very much enjoyed by everyone in attendance. If you ever get a chance to see this please do it was fabulous!!
SEPTEMBER 2019: Just a reminder that our 2 year anniversary is upon us. We have grown tremendously and we always welcome any guest to join us. Please remember to call Sue Duncan to pre-register for your lunch. We have lots of interesting and fun events planned and if you have anything in particular you would like to see happen please feel free to mention it to Sue. She is always open to suggestions.
