Please get involved and support the important work that MIALS is doing on Mayne Island. Your membership provides financial assistance to operate our many programs, opens the door to further involvement with our organization and gives you a voice in the our future direction and activities. Members must be 18 years of age or older and have a connection with Mayne Island as a full or part-time resident or through a connection with family or friends on Mayne.

Benefits of Membership:

Financial support of MIALS – similar to a small donation

A vote at our Annual General Meeting – one vote per named member

Receive informative newsletters

Invitations to special MIALS events

Membership is required to serve as a volunteer

Membership is required to serve on the Board of Directors

Types of Membership and Fees:

Individual Membership: $10

 One person  –  one vote at AGM

Family Membership: $20

Two people in one household  –  two votes at AGM

Volunteer Membership: Free

 No membership fee for active volunteers in previous year

Lifetime Membership: Free

 Granted by the Board for extraordinary service

Membership Term:

Our membership term follows our Fiscal Year and runs from April 1st to March 31st.  Also, if you pay for your membership in January, February or March, your fee will be applied to the new Fiscal Year that follows, starting on April 1st.

Online Using Credit Card:

Select membership type (Individual or Family) to set up your membership account and then pay using your credit card.  You will need to choose a password.  Once the account is set up you can login to update your information and pay your membership fee in future years.

By E Transfer:

Download and complete the Membership Form. Scan the completed form and email it to memberships@mials.org. To pay your membership fee, please send an e transfer to memberships@mials.org. In the comments area please say what the payment is for such as “Family membership for John Smith” so it can be matched to your registration form. Thanks!

By Cheque and Regular Mail:

Download the Membership Form.  Complete the form and mail it, along with your cheque made payable to MIALS, to:

In Person at MIALS Events and the Farmers Market

You can purchase MIALS membership at most of our programs such as Creative Cafe and Lunch Bunch.  We also have a booth at the Farmers Market on most long weekends.  Drop by and learn more about MIALS.  Membership forms are available.  You can pay by cash or credit card assuming we have our Square payment system on site.

Renew Online Using Credit Card:

New this year! You can set up your online membership account and then pay using your credit card. Registration form completion is required this year even for current members. You will need to choose a password. Once the account is set up you can login to update your information and pay your membership fee in future years.

Renew by E Transfer:

To pay your membership fee, please send an e transfer to memberships@mials.org. In the comments area please say what the payment is for such as “Family membership for John Smith”. This will help us match the payment to your current account. Thanks!
