Visiting Pender

Experience the Neighbourhood House’s Pender Programming

We are thrilled to be invited along with Saturna Island to experience the Neighbourhood House’s Monday Programming on Pender Island. Join the Mayne Island Bus who will handle to transportation to and from Mayne on Monday, July 13th. We’ll be departing on the 7AM ferry and will return on the 5:30PM ferry.

When we arrive at 7:30AM we will be stopping at the Vanilla Leaf Bakery for breakfast and coffee, then heading over to the centre for the 10AM Repair Cafe and 10AM Watercolour Painting Class. Lunch will be served at the centre at Noon and then the afternoon is free to watch the movie “Sing Sing” or explore Pender with the Bus.

Please note that participation on this trip is gratefully gifted from the Neighbourhood House on Pender Island, travel and classes are free. Lunch is $10.

Meeting Bus at the Mayne Ferry Terminal: 6:15AM
Arrival on Pender Island: Approx. 7:30AM
Coffee & Breakfast: 8AM-9:30AM
Repair Cafe & Watercolour Class: 10AM-12PM
Lunch: Noon (Garlic Prawns or Tempe on Coconut Rice & Salad)
Movie (Sing Sing) or Island Exploration: 1:15PM-4:15PM
Ferry to Mayne: 4:30 arrival at terminal, arrival on Mayne approx. 5:55PM

What to Bring: Please wear comfortable clothing and water bottle.  

Space is limited and registration by Wednesday, July 8th is required.
